"The land of fire"

Without nature, animals can not thrive. The amount of animals and animal species in central america is impressive just as the beauty and diversity of it's nature. Because there are so many different types of habitats like dry forests, primary rainforests, marshes and cloudforests there are also many different animals. besides the animals themselves, the nature is just as beautiful. crossing countries your constantly treated with different landscapes and different climates which make for spectaculair views.

Central america being part of the 'ring of fire' also has lots of Volcanoes. The first volcano I climbed was the pacaya. This is a active volcano near the capital of Guatemala. After climbing that one many followed. Every volcano is different what makes me curious to climb the next one. I often call it the land of fire because almost everywhere you look you see a volcano on the horizon. No surprise you will see many pictures of volcanoes on this page.

Besides above water, underwater views can be just as beautiful. Underwater wrecks in the distance or close ups of coral that look like an alien world make up for some cool shots.
